What I learned at Open House:

Cross your legs and sit on the blue line.

Treat each other and your classroom with respect

Always use a rug when doing your work on the floor

Always finish what you start

It's good to work together

Wear slippers, not shoes indoors

Help the younger children when they need it

There are lots of places in the world to learn about

Take your time

Wash your hands

You can have your snack whenever you want it

There will always be a new and interesting activity on the shelf

Put it back like you found it

Gah

Feeling like I could have been a better parent today.

I was tired, which degraded into yelly and short tempered and Savannah was stubborn and argumentative about EVERYTHING from about 2pm on. The day started out so nicely too.

Open House + Darn Volcano

Savannah's preschool had an open house this morning and it was wonderful. The kids got to show us their 'activities' and their 'travaille' (not sure on the spelling of that one). It was great to see the things she's been telling us about.

This little video is mostly for Daddy as it's looking like he may be a citizen of London for an indefinite time period. He had to miss the open house this morning DUE TO A VOLCANO. Never in my wildest imagination did I anticipate having to type that sentence. Come home soon!

We have been enjoying the spring LOTS here. I know that the heat is coming, but so far the weather has been delightful in Austin.
